Alexander Lightstone Borsand followed in his father's footsteps and after finishing his Allopathic education at Aureus University School of Medicine, he attended South West College of Naturopathic Medicine to increase his knowledge of natural alternatives to prescription medication. He then became a diplomat for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, where he studied the lifestyle interventions that prevent and cure metabolic disease. Alexander Borsand was first introduced to Hyperbaric Medicine prior to attending medical school and while still working as a surgical technologist.
After a major injury disrupted his traditional medical education, five surgeries and a non-healing fracture, he completed 60 hyperbaric dives with dramatic results. The non-healing fracture had started to heal and the pain was non-existent. Through this personal experience he decided to become more involved in the hyperbaric community, becoming a certified trainer for the National Hyperbaric Safety Association. Alexander Borsand is head of business development and clinic safety director at RX-O2. He is an active member of the International Hyperbaric association and strives to promote HBOT in safe and effective environments.
