This symposium is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals looking to develop their knowledge of intravenous nutritional therapies. This course will cover the fundamentals and expand on the use of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other unique parenteral compounds. Attendees will leave the symposium with a thorough understanding of IV therapy and the ability to implement various IV protocols when they return to their practices.

Guy DaSilva, MD, ABAARM

Guy DaSilva, MD is the founder and Medical Director of the DaSilva Institute of AntiAging, Regenerative & Functional Medicine located in Sarasota, Florida. He is a respected authority in numerous medical fields including Hematology, Pathology, Internal Medicine, and Molecular Oncology. After seeing the benefits of alternative treatments with his wife Tina, Dr. DaSilva has embraced and found success in alternative medicine and is now board certified by the American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine. Dr. DaSilva specializes in anti-aging medicine, BHRT, cancer therapies, chelation, and IV therapies.

Paul S. Anderson, ND

Dr. Anderson is medical director of Anderson Medical Specialty Associates, a clinic focusing on the care of patients with cancer and chronic diseases.  Former positions include professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Medicine at Bastyr University and Chief of IV Services for Bastyr Oncology Research Center which recently completed a five year NIH trial using IV Therapies in advanced cancer patients.  He is a graduate of NCNM and began instructing classes at naturopathic medical schools in the early 1990’s.  He continues to hold board review classes and CME courses for most of the US and Canadian ND programs including BU, NCNM, Boucher Institute, UB, SCNM and CCNM. He also is a founding board member of the Academy of Parenteral Therapies specialty group and an instructor and author for the IIVNTP IV Therapy training group.

Mitchell Ghen, DO, PhD

Dr. Ghen has over 30 years of anti-aging, holistic and integrative medicine experience. He is the co-author of textbooks including the Advanced Guide to Longevity Medicine.  In addition, he has authored dozens of articles in peer-reviewed journals.  He has been a host and guest on hundreds of radio programs as well as television, where he has been interviewed as an expert in alternative health.  Dr. Ghen, in addition, holds a Master’s Degree in Biomechanical Trauma and has a PhD in nutrition and psychoneuroimmunology.

Nayan Patel, PharmD

Dr. Patel is a recognized expert in clinical pharmacy services. He has built Central Drugs Compounding Pharmacy into one of the leading and fastest-growing compounding pharmacies in the United States. Nayan is a frequent guest lecturer internationally on topics such as hormone replacement therapy, menopause and andropause, osteoporosis, and breast cancer. When it comes to patient healthcare, Nayan believes in a team approach. He is passionate about working together with physicians, nutritionists, and patients to develop a comprehensive plan to improve each patient’s overall health and quality of life. In addition to his work with patients and practitioners at Central Drugs, Nayan is involved with the USC School of Pharmacy as a guest lecturer and faculty member.
