Ernie Hawkins, MS, BScPharm

Ernie Hawkins is a Masters degree pharmacist with 30 years experience in many facets of pharmacy, including retail, hospital, long-term care consulting, Nuclear pharmacy and biomedical research. Ernie has spent the last 20 years working in botanical medicine with various herbal companies in the US, then with Jim LaValle, compiling hundreds of botanical and nutrient monographs, a number of books, volumes of ancillary education and 2 databases on Integrative Medicine. Ernie helped start the East Tennessee State University School of Pharmacy program in Integrative Medicine and has taught botanical medicine topics around the world, culminating in Malaysia where he helped create GlobinMed, the global database of botanical medicine . Ernie is also a professional bassoonist and lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
