Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Amy’s interest in nutrition as a career began in college, with the awareness that most chronic disease in our country can be prevented with lifestyle.   Pieczarka created and directed a leading hospital outpatient nutrition therapy center for 20 years and was in private practice for 11 years.  She has provided nutrition therapy to over 5000 patients and has given over 600 presentations to the public.

Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Medical Dietetics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1983, completed the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited internship at St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1984 and has been a registered dietitian/nutritionist (RDN) since 1985.  She has been a certified diabetes educator (CDE) since 1993.   Encouraged by the public’s interest and motivation to prevent disease naturally and motivated by the importance of holistic healing, she successfully completed the coursework and exam required by the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists and became a certified clinical nutritionist (CCN) in 2003, and an integrative and functional nutrition certified practitioner (IFNCP) through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy in 2018.

Amy has counseled people of all ages and specializes in gut health, digestive disorders, food sensitivities, adverse food reactions, weight management, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and preventive and functional nutrition.   Her experience in providing medical nutrition therapy and guidance to thousands of individuals of all ages over the years, has allowed her to recognize effective nutritional strategies to utilize when assisting individuals in meeting health goals.   She is thrilled to lead the PreviMedica team to extend this opportunity for optimal nutrition and lifestyle to individuals all over the country.

In Amy’s favorite role, proud mom to two sons, she cherishes her time with her family.   Amy enjoys the outdoors, exercise, cooking, baking, football, music, and enjoying the Florida weather.
