September 16, 2014 (Boca Raton, FL)

September 16, 2014 (Boca Raton, FL) – The A4M recently announced the program for the 22nd Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine, including dynamic featured presenters, a power-packed agenda, and the most cutting-edge information and case studies from around the healthcare industry. Among the keynote faculty is genome scientist and entrepreneur, J. Craig Venter, PhD, most noted for his leading role as head of the private effort in the first sequencing and analysis of the human genome – which was a milestone in the famous Human Genome Project, the worldwide research effort to identify all of the approximate 20,000 to 25,000 genes in the human DNA. He and his team went on to sequence his own full diploid human genome in 2007.

Dr. Venter’s contributions are referred to as “invaluable” and he is considered one of the 21st century’s leading scientists on the quest to treat age-related disease. The A4M is excited to host this pioneer in scientific research to present to thousands of medical practitioners on the cusp of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Venter’s presentation “Life at the Speed of Light” will close out the general session on Friday, December 12th.

This year, Dr. Venter teamed up with stem cell pioneer Dr. Robert Hariri, and X Prize Foundation founder Dr. Peter Diamandis, to form Human Longevity Inc, a company that will use both genomics and stem cell therapies to find treatments that allow aging adults to stay healthy and functional for as long as possible.

He is founder, chairman and CEO of the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI), a non-for-profit research organization with approximately 300 scientists and staff. This organization focuses on different aspects of genomic research, as well as the ethical issues in genomics. He also serves as CEO of Synthetic Genomics Inc (SGI), a privately held company dedicated to commercializing genomic-driven solutions to address global needs such as new sources of energy, new food and nutritional products, and next generation vaccines.

This year’s World Congress will feature over 70 world renowned experts in scientific research and medicine, presenting lectures and case studies on topics such as metabolic syndrome, hormone replacement, diagnostic testing, stress and the immune response, functional neurology, stem cells and aesthetic applications, nutrient strategies, endocrine system, lifestyle factors, and lifestyle effects on sex and stress hormones. This exclusive event offers attendees the opportunity to connect with elite minds in medicine and research, such as Dr. Venter, and learn innovative, effective ways to making a long-term difference in their patients’ lives.
