Module B - Cardiovascular Certification

Upon completion of this module, the participants will:

• Understand, review and apply in clinical practice the pathophysiology of dyslipidemia .
• Understand, review and apply to patient care nutrition, nutritional supplements, exercise and weight management in the treatment of dyslipidemia.
• Understand, review and discuss the clinical presentation and cardiovascular relationships of dyslipidemia, coronary heart disease and CVD.
• Understand, review, discuss, select and apply laboratory testing for dyslipidemia and select appropriate treatment.
• Understand, review and apply in clinical practice cardiovascular risk factors and mediators, CVD labs and noninvasive CVD testing heavy metals and CVD.
• Understand, review and apply to patient care nutrition, nutritional supplements, exercise and weight management in the treatment of CVD , heavy metals and vascular disease
• Understand, review and discuss the clinical presentation and cardiovascular relationships of coronary heart disease, CHF, heavy metals and CVD.
• Understand, review, discuss, select and apply laboratory testing and new noninvasive diagnostic cardiovascular tests to identify CV disease early and select appropriate treatment.
• Understand, review and discuss traditional, new and emerging CHD risk factors to prevent and treat CHD and CVD in clinical practice.
